Royal River Alpaca Company is a breathtaking and bustling farm located in North Yarmouth, Maine, 15 minutes north of Portland. Ken and Claudia Raessler, the owners, own and manage approximately forty alpacas on a twenty-five acre farm. As the owners, Claudia’s role is to focus on daily operations, strategic planning, and fiber management. Ken brings his talents to barn building, fencing, and pasture management.
The Farm, in operation for six years, continues to grow by producing a diverse herd with proven genetics, high luster fleece, and award winning conformation. From the beginning, we have planned our breeding program around acquiring excellent genetics from well-known lines such as Torbio, Uribe, Bruxo, and Ramillo. By integrating the finest genetics into our breeding program, we believe both Royal River and its clients will capture some of the finest attributes these special animals have to offer.
We focus on four major objectives:
· Breeding, raising, and selling exceptional Suri alpacas
· Offering healthy, superior breeding stock
· Working collaboratively with clients to provide outstanding support services
· Building a fiber collection and commercial processing service
